More than 600 men were screened recently in The Drive Against Prostate Cancer. KEPR-TV and Kadlec Medical Center joined together to sponsor the drive.

The screenings were free and no appointments were necessary. The exams were conducted in a 39 foot motor home and consisted of a PSA blood test and a Digital Rectal Exam (DRE) offered by Kadlec lab staff and community physicians.

One in six men will get prostate cancer, but if it's caught early, nearly all will survive. Early prostate cancer has no symptoms, that's why screening is so important. For more information, visit www.fightprostatecancer.org.
