Our Intermediate Care (IMC) Unit has a “patients come first” team motto. Our nursing staff and Physicians, along with a multidisciplinary team, create a research-driven, team approach to address our patients’ needs. Our Intermediate Care Unit has rooms that have been designed to incorporate the latest equipment along with in-room cardiac monitoring within a spacious, environment that allows family to spend quality time with their loved ones. Part of the new River Pavilion Expansion, our IMC Unit has a 28 bed unit for patients who require less care than available in CCU but more than the medical-surgical rooms. The typical nurse to patient ratio is 1:4, with constant consideration given to patient acuity and census.
