Our 12-bed Short Stay Unit is designed for patients who require observation and short term intervention, but not admission to the medical floors.

Located on the first floor, the unit is designed for patients who have undergone cauterization and cardiac procedures as well as other patients who require observation and short term intervention. These patients were previously placed in traditional hospital patient rooms.

By having a separate Short Stay Unit specifically designed for the observation and recovery of these patients, the Medical Center is able to have additional patient beds available for more seriously ill patients.

The Short Stay Unit is staffed by registered nurses 24-hours a day.
